Hannah Wilson

Hannah grew up in Des Moines, Iowa but has called Durango home for 10 years after falling in love with the Colorado mountains. She started Hannah Wilson Art in 2020 and has created hundreds of paintings over the years. Painting live and en plein air are two of her greatest passions, and that energy and authenticity come through in every piece she creates. She founded Live Painting Co to bring that same authentic, grounded approach to celebrations across the Mountain West - building a team of professional artists who share her commitment to excellence and genuine connection.

Lead Artist & Founder

Kassia Vinsel

Kass brings vibrant energy and professional polish to every guest portrait session. With a BFA in Fine Art (watercolor and photography) plus an MBA, she's perfected her portraiture skills through countless studio hours and specialized workshops. Based right here in Durango, Kass now runs her own branding business while pursuing her artistic passion. Trained in the Hannah Wilson Art signature style, her colorful, expressive approach and warm people-first energy make every guest feel special.

FUN FACT: When she's not creating art, you'll find Kass dominating the foosball table (it's her greatest skill!) or exploring Durango's outdoor playground through rock climbing, mountain biking, and paddle boarding.

Nikki Moon

Nikki brings a decade of professional artistry and infectious enthusiasm to every guest portrait session. A BFA graduate from Columbus College of Art and Design, she's been creating art professionally since 2016, with work featured in galleries nationwide and two prestigious artist residencies under her belt. Trained in the Hannah Wilson Art signature style, Nikki's natural talent for figure drawing and expressive line work makes her exceptional at capturing personality in those magical 5-8 minutes.

FUN FACT: When Nikki is not creating art, you'll find Nikki studying herbalism or reading by the animas river – she's one of seven children and believes the best conversations happen while making art together!

Mel Olrich

Mel is a mixed-media artist living in Durango, Colorado, who creates western-inspired landscapes and illustrations from her high desert home nestled next to the rugged San Juan Mountains. With a deep connection to the spirit of the West and a talent for capturing the essence of Colorado's landscape, Mel brings an authentic local perspective to every guest portrait session. Mel’s western-inspired artistic background and love for the Four Corners region make her portraits uniquely meaningful for mountain weddings.

FUN FACT: Mel loves exploring Colorado through hiking, biking, climbing, and skiing. As someone who chose to make this state home 8 years ago, she truly understands the magic of mountain weddings and brings that authentic western adventure spirit to every portrait!
