Guest Portraits
Give your guests a special, unique experience with custom watercolor portraits they can take home. Our artists create these on-site in 5-8 minutes, and they become timeless keepsakes your guests will cherish long after the event.
Our artist(s) arrives 1 hour before the event to set up paints, materials, and signage. Once things get going, guests stop by to have their photo taken as a reference. From there, our artist creates mini, impressionistic portraits throughout the event, completing about 10 portraits per hour (20 people if couples share a portrait). Finished portraits are placed on the table in protective sleeves for guests to pick up on their way out.

Do you travel to Telluride?
When do we receive the finished artwork?
Watercolor guest portraits are created on-site and guests take them home during the event. For live wedding paintings, we aim for a reception reveal whenever possible; if final detailing or varnishing is needed, we complete it in the studio and ship it to you!
Yes. Telluride is about a 2-hour drive from Durango and one of our favorite Colorado mountain destinations. Travel is quoted based on your date, venue access, and lodging needs.
Can you paint outdoors in mountain weather?
Most portraits take about 5–8 minutes each. We’ll recommend the best coverage/package based on your guest count and the length of your event.
Yes. We plan for shifting light, wind, and temperature changes, and we coordinate placement and timing with your planner so everything stays smooth.

Yes. We coordinate directly with your planner (and venue as needed) on arrival time, setup location, and timeline so the experience feels effortless from start to finish.
Process
My easel will be set up off to the side, in a spot that allows me to fully capture the venue/event while still being able to engage with guests. My painting process involves starting big, abstract, and adding layers. With each layer the piece becomes alive and more detailed. As guests fill the space, I begin to move colors around the painting. With time, the image begins to emerge. It takes about four to five hours to complete the painting with significant detail. Each venue and event is special and therefore no two paintings look alike. Generally, the piece is completed by the end of the event. Occasionally. I'll take it back to my studio to put on finishing touches or add a protective varnish over the artwork.

I'll arrive at your event 1-2 hours in advance to set up and choose a composition for your painting, and begin painting the underlay of your painting.

After the first call, if you decide to book, Hannah will send over a contract outlining details of the event and pricing. We will touch base 2-4 weeks before the big wedding day to finalize any last minute details about the wedding painting.
